Could someone give me a little insight on the height shims and what thickness metal is best to use.
For sheet metal up to about 1/4” inch we recommend using the 1/16 shim. For thicker than that we recommend 1/8” to minimize blowback hitting the nozzle.
If your sheet metal is bowed, using the 1/8 shim can help to prevent nozzle contact, especially on large parts.

Okay thanks. I was wondering I lost a tip last night don’t know exactly what happened just quit cutting tip melted. I was half way cutting when it happened. I changed the tip and started the code with the plasma off, up to where it messed up. I paused it and turned the plasma on and continued cuttiug.
