I just got sheetcam and was attempting my first cut after over a year of using fusion and i have run into some issues. I have setup the tools in sheet cam using the Razorcut chart for 0.0625in steel and when i tried cutting i ran into two issues. first issue is the cut did not go through the part at the listed amperage of 28 but even when i turned it up on the machine it still didnt cut through and my second issue is each cut would stop prior to reaching the end. the next cut would start normally but fail toward the end of that cutout. I think i might now have had my z zeroed out but is there something else that might be contributing to the issues noted?
Hi there Tony… Could you provide a few more details in regards to your settings/PRO?/Crossfire? etc… that didn’t produce results for you… Knowing a little more makes for a quicker diagnosis of cut problems… And, if you happen to have a picture of your failed cuts, that could help out as well…
One of the first things I noticed after getting the PRO table here with an Everlast cutter is having to make the first pierce delay a touch longer than the rest… I did this by editing the Sheetcam post processor which has a provision near the top of the code in order to accomplish this.
Of course, we have to look also at dry air? work clamp on the material and not just slats…etc… I know this probably sounds old hat but, I’m sold on troubleshooting the easiest things first…
Good luck!! Let us know what you come up with please…
