Thought I would include my recently completed setup as a data point.
Dewalt 60gal 2 stage 175psi.
Added transmission cooler (Derale 15300) and water trap between output from head and tank.
Ambient temp 80F (Dallas TX)
Measured temp leaving head, max temp 240F
Measured temp after water trap peak temp 90F.

Single and two stage pumps were great in 1910. Today it is Rotary Screw. If you want no water get a rotary screw and just one filter. You want to go crazy Put a refrigerated dryer before the plasma cuter. Yes there are used one that are cheaper than a new 80 pump compressor.
Rotary is cool for 100% duty cycle. Probable I would get one if I were running plasma all day every day. This is hobby fun, use it a couple times a week.
To match my system output I’d need to spend $8k… I’d rather put that towards something else…
