Power went out in the middle of a cut. I think I understand how to restart in the program, but where does the torch need to be? Do I need to position the torch somewhere specific?
The torch can be anywhere. Your X/Y zero needs to be set at the same X/Y zero that you started the program from originally.
If you lost that location with the power outage, you can guess and then jog the torch to some already cut features on the drawing to see how close they match. Then go back to your X/Y zero and make adjustments until you feel good about the alignment. It’s probably not going to be perfect.
If I have an important piece, I’ll use the manual torch fire to pierce a hole at my X/Y zero location. That makes it easier to find again, if something goes wrong.
I like that idea.
If you were cutting a full sheet and/or started with the torch in the home position you can just run the program like you did before the power loss. Selecting the right run loop to start from. Otherwise, you’ll have to try what ds690 suggested if 100% accuracy is not needed or start over on a new section of material.
