Has anyone tried to relay the serial port wirelessly? Wondering how bad latency can be on the machine.
Edit: seems to work as long as you spoof the receiver to the same pid and vid as the crossfire machine, Is there any way I can connect to a comport manually rather than having to spoof it into simplify my setup?
Only thing that seems to stop me is firecontrol not allowing me to connect to any comport i want

Well I got it working, sadly the latency was far too much to br useable, without an intermediary to send the gcode it won’t be possible and I’m not bout to reverse the serial comms of fire control

You can visually see the latency as I move the gantry
pretty neat. Not the same as what you are doing but I use a wireless SNES , works fine for what i am doing.

Yeah I’m using a wireless Xbox controller for that, but I was looking for a solution for like a true wireless where I can run the fire control in a separate PC. Maybe another day? I’ll take another look, but that latency affected it more than I thought it would
