I contact Razorweld Tech support several times by email (sales@razorweld.com) and also talked to Kyle on the phone but can’t get HELP. I was cutting 16ga mild steel and in the middle of the cut, plasma quit working and won’t fire again. Only blow air. Replaced consumables with originals and nothing. Checked voltage, Air pressure, continuity on torch and machine is not reporting a fault. I only use the plasma cutter a hand full of times. Some help will appreciated!!

Did RazorWeld support provide any instruction to you on how to troubleshoot?
Following mine continually blows air after cut is finished
Do you have the 30 or the 45, Blake? It is normal for the 45 to have postflow.

I have the 45 I ended up putting a funnel on the torch so doesn’t bother me to much keeps the water from splashing up

Thanks again Langmuire-Daniel for the support earlier today on getting my table dialed in
Hey Israel, Did you find a solution for this? I ran into the same problem and also wrote sales@razorweld.com but have not received a response
I’m having issues every once in a while with torch piercing plate then terminating arc on certain cuts sometimes I can go back to where it happened in mach and fire it back up and make the cut
oMisfires are typically caused by one of the following:
- Worn electrode
- Moisture in the air line
- Air pressure drop below minimum allowable.
I typically only replace an electrode when it starts to misfire. Same goes for my Hypertherm 1000.
If the arc is extinguishing during a cut, it could be that the torch height increased to the point that the arc could not be maintained.
Think initially it was air flow forgot to turn compressor on had put disectant in the oven before hand. I was able to go back into mach3 and cut where it missed for the most part. Missed one small detail couldn’t maintain arc I think due to already piercing plate but just used the air pencil for it may try to slide a 1/32 piece of drop in. If it happens again
Sorry guys for my delay. I got back from a long weekend with the family yesterday. I talked to Nick today and the diagnosis was something electrical at the torch. Perhaps a electrical connection wasn’t soldering correctly. Hopefully they will send me a new torch. I will keep everyone posted with the solution.
If you haven’t heard from them. Let me know (PM me), I can put you in contact with Nick (support tech).
