Razorweld pres reg broke

Razorweld 45- Went into the shop today to cut a project and as soon as I hooked up my air line I immediately heard a substantial leak. Cracked open the housing and noticed a hairline crack in the water separator can of the built in pressure regulator. It was near the base and too heavy of a leak to try and cut anything today. Has anybody experienced this yet or am I just the lucky winner? I was thinking about bypassing the regulator as I have an external regulator at the machine anyway. I’ll be giving Jasic a call tomorrow to try and sort it, hoping this is covered under warranty.

Do you use synthetic oil in your compressor? That will erode plastic housings in filters.

I am not sure what the rating is on the regulator but I am guessing its 135 psi max. Seen one blow apart after someone plugged in a air line with 175 psi to it, made a mess inside the plasma cutter.

It’s about a 1/2” crack. I can’t even feel it when running my fingers over it. Compressor is set at 120psi max. It’s definitely not an oil issue because I have a separator/regulator at the compressor outlet that is a cheapo and it’s been fine for years.

Razorweld should take care of it under warranty. If you can’t get help with this soon contact me.

Hey George, off topic but I was reading it, the machine torch you built for me for my pro is working great. Great cuts right off the bat. Even my test cuts were perfection.

Thanks

Jasic is sending me a new cup/can. Hopefully it won’t take long. Until then I’m just going to bypass the pressure regulator and use my external one. Thanks for the offer to help if Jasic gave me trouble George!
