Razorweld CUT45 no arc, no air

Hi all, been using our Crossfire XR & Razorweld CUT45 for about 2 years now with no problems. The other day my wife grounded the torch while cutting (not sure why THC didn’t prevent that) and burned up the tip and electrode. I replaced (Plasmadyne) and now the torch won’t fire. I’ve done all the troubleshooting around control box, control wire, etc. I jump the trigger pins on the front of the CUT45 and the plasma firing light indicator comes on, but not arc. Also, no air. It isn’t the solenoid because if I press the ‘bleed air’ button, the air comes on.

The torch is the machine torch that came w/ the Razorweld when I bought it from Langmuir. I’ve disassembled the torch head to verify no loose wires, i’ve checked the safety pins - they are both free/moving.

82psi setting, drops to about 70 when it was cutting.

Any recommendations? Sounds like there is a pressure sensor/switch that could be bad and not allowing the arc to start because it thinks there is no air. Not sure which part that is. Anyone have a part number or place I can order a replacement? Otherwise i’m going to junk this thing and get a hypertherm…

Update - I suppose it could be the entire solenoid because now even when I press the “bleed air” button, it isn’t letting air through. Where does one get a replacement?

thanks!

-Rick

If the plasma cutter is les then 3 years old it is still under warranty. Contact Langmuir and Razorweld.
