I bought my Razorweld 45 with my crossfire pro back in December of 2024 I have been running it for 6 months now with no problems. That was up until yesterday 6/23/25. I was in the middle of a project and everything was fine until my plasma stopped firing in the middle of the project. It went down to pierce and the was no fire only air. So assumed it was the electrode and or other consumables, so I changed them out and redone my cut but I had the same results no fire only air. Between yesterday and today 6/24/25 I have been reading and redoing everything I can think of I have taken of the THC and re done the wires I thought maybe something got pinched somewhere since after the second time I got an error message saying the voltage was to high. I got the multimeter out to check voltage and continuity
Everything checked out fine just like the initial set up. As I took the touch off the table yesterday I pulled the trigger and I would get air but no fire. So I called it a night. Today when I get home from work I go straight out to try and figure it out but today I pull the trigger and there is no air and no fire. I went through the wires again did the THC test and voltage reading fine then I hit the fire touch button and again no fire only air. So I took off the consumables again and I got it to fire by using the fire button on the computer but for a spit second and that was it. I pulled the trigger again and again and nothing happened but when I go into the THC test I get only air. If someone has any idea please let me know what I can do. Thanks
I moved this post to the Plasma Cutter category, where it belongs. I will also remove your previous post.
Please do not double post. It doesn’t help anyone.
Can we edit his post and put some paragraphs and carriage returns in it?
Couldn’t do it…
What is the air pressure to the plasma cutter from the compressor? What is the air pressure on the gauge on the plasma cutter? What is the air pressure when the air is coming out of the torch?
Air pressure at the air compressor is 100psi and at the plasma itself is 70psi. The air pressure coming out of the torch head itself I’m not sure I have never measured it. The air is very strong coming out of it though.
There is a gauge on the plasma cutter what does it say with air coming out of the torch? You need at least 100psi coming to the plasma cutter.
You thinking internal regulator went tango uniform?
That would be my guess at this point.
The gauge on the Plasma drops to 60 when I try to fire from my computer.
Is there a reason that the plasma will not even try to fire when I unhook it from Langmuirs System?
I pull the Trigger and no air no fire
Yes the internal regulator has gone bad. You need to remove it and install this kit ebay number 186715821689 or make your own bypass. You should never drop more then 5 to 7 psi.
Thank you I will report back when I have it installed.
I have installed the new regulator that you sent me and there has been no change. I still only have air pressure and no fire.
I turned up the pressure to be at 100PSI on the machine and it fired but I went and ran a few cuts, and it is back to no fire. I received an error message see attached. I have tried to fire the torch from the fire button but nothing. I have also tired the THC test, but this will not allow me to hit the ARC on button.
100 psi to the torch is too much. It will actually blow out the plasma stream. 125 to 100 to your new regulator. 75 is optimal to the torch. Is the electrode plunger stuck? I don’t know what torch you have, but the electrode should move up and snap back. That’s how the arc is started. Are you using Amazon or Plasmadyne shit consumables?
Please send us a video of your setup while it’s trying to cut. If it’s a machine torch, send a picture of it mounted on the machine. If George was helping you, it is a holiday weekend, he will chime in soon, I’m sure.
