Razorweld 45 5/8 steel

Hello

I am wondering if anyone on here has cut 5/8 or thicker carbon steel successfully with a razorweld 45? If so what ipm, pierce delay and psi did you use?

Thanks

I made a few cuts on .750. Can’t remember exactly want to say 5 to 8 ipm. You will bump duty cycle fast. Actually seen a guy On YouTube cut 1 inch with the razor weld on a xr. Better crank air pressure up

5 to 8 or 50to 80 ipm? The part I’m cutting out is for a bucket as well.

5 to 8. The cut chart on the forum has a addition of someone cutting .669 must be a oddball piece at 6 ipm. I cut .250 with my hypertherm 65 I use 45 amp and 50 ipm.

Actually cut it really good, I used 12 ipm , 1.5 pierce delay and put the psi up to 100

I am glad it worked out for you on that thick of metal. But if you plan on doing it a lot then you need to invest in a larger and better plasma cutter.

At that air pressure your lucky you did not blow the seals out of the solenoid or torch as they are not made for that high of pressure.

I am planning on investing in a hypotherm in the near future. Thanks

What about cutting 5/8 mild steel with lower air pressure around 80psi with the razorweld, do you still think that would be at risk to blow something?

80 is the max I recommend on a lot of plasma cutters under 80 amps. Most plasma cutters state 60 to 80 psi for best results depending on amp setting.

The Razorweld seems to work best at about 75 psi.
