Proximity sensor wiring

Proximity sensors arrived! KSK-AP-4H from automation direct. need help figuring which wire goes to which pin. Found all info for mods I’ve done on ToolJunkie youtube channel but not sure about this one, Also purchased the connectors with them. These mods are so close to done I can smell the smoke! Thanks tooljunkie for all the info so far!

Can’t wait for some pictures, I have almost everything I need to do what tooljunkie did, except for time.

Do they have 3 wires or 4? I know that you probably already have both of these but this is what I found, The wiring diagram shows
Brown +
Blue -
Black looks to be tied to the - but I’m not sure what that symbol means

On tooljunkie’s wire diagram he shows + and - so I would connect the brown to the + on the power supply and the blue to the - on the power supply and use the black for the signal wire. But don’t do this on what I am saying… I have let the magic smoke out of many things in the past. lol

The symbol between the connection is the load. Sensors can be positive switching or negative switching (NPN or PNP) so if the sensor is wired to a relay the relay is going to need a negative from the sensor or a positive to make it change state. If you have it backward the relay won’t do anything because both side of the relay coil will be the same.

So for the OP would he wire it up like I suggested?

Looking for a win here, help me out, lol

Thanks for the explination.

Ok figured out proximity sensor hookup. No torch firing no output from out#4. Another board failure?

Did you change to a relay board instead of the reed relay for the torch output?

Yes the relay board was changed same as the mods from Tool Junkie. I am not getting output from the board to turn on torch at relay board. Can fire torch by shorting wires from relay output but testing at controller board produces no ground output. I have the red board. Probably going to order new board.

I’m think I might have to change the jumper on the relay board to ground control. checking that ther interweb for info

nope, no drive from motion control board
