is there someone in the bay city Michigan area that can help a 81 year old get started with this plasma cutting thing? I am having trouble understanding the programs to get started…thanks in advance

Hat’s off to you for jumping into this. You deserve a bunch of credit for biting off this apple. CNC operations and design can be tricky.
But if you can’t find someone local, and you don’t have a local Makerspace nearby that could help (even if they don’t have a Crossfire they’re likely to have a CNC router or laser and the concepts are transferable), just drop a question here and someone will jump in and get you some answers.
