Ok This is a problem I have had for a long time and its getting really old. I have tried different thing and have found a solution.
When I try and select what I want to copy with my mouse it starts fine then it drops out. Sometimes if I go very slow It will work on small things but most times not.
The video shows exactly what happens. I seem to have this problem on all of our computers
Have the same mouse on both lap top and a desktop. My wife uses the laptop so I am not positive but I thought it acted the same. But we just had a new hard drive installed last week and I just went and tried it and it works fine, so now i’m not sure if that one had the same issue or not.
So the desk top is the one acting weird and mouse drivers are up-to-date.
I have been using various bluetooth mice to limit the need for the USB ports/dongles. Those USB ports have a habit of going bad. This one is about $25 and works flawlessly:
This one is about 50% cheaper and has been working well:
Well I did not troubleshoot this one very well, I swapped mouses and it’s the mouse. I’m sure you’re wondering why I did not try this simple test before taking the time to post this and wasting everyone’s time. Well if I knew you would be the first to know.
Take your standard Amazon basics mouse and consider the resolution of said mouse…
Is there such a thing as a “high resolution” mouse that would make some of the finer points of drafting or drawing easier to do? Make sense? Or, is it just a matter of slowing the mouse travel down? Mine’s fairly speedy…
If you have a “high res” … do you notice a difference when drawing? Or is it more of a gamer thing?
