I have been using Sheetcam v7.0.21 for an old plasma cutter but I have on order a new Crossfire CNC but I don’t see a post processor in Sheetcam for the new unit.
I might be confused but I’m used to saving the cut file compatible with the cutter. Can anyone help me understand how to save the file for use on my soon to be new machine.
Are you getting a new table or just a new plasma cutter?
Sheetcam doesn’t care what plasma cutter you use. The post processor is specific to the table control software. If you currently use Firecontrol to run your table, you don’t need a different post processor.
The Firecontrol v1.6 post processor is already in the Sheetcam post processor library. You just need to select it as your default.
I’m getting a new table but you did answer my question about the post processor. Thank you for that.
As I look at the list of post processors I see 2 for the Fire Control software; Fire Control v1.6 and Fire Control v1.6 TD Mod retract. What is TD Mod retract?
Don’t use that one. It is a modified version to work with Thermal Dynamics plasma cutters. They have a weird safety feature that requires a really long pierce delay on the first firing of the torch.
