Does anyone have any tricks for peeling stainless protective film?
It always just seems to be such a pain compared to peeling aluminum.

Try peeling up a bit of it and then work an air nozzle attached to your compressor under it and let the air lift the film.
Something we do at work to take off labels is using some hot air. Haven’t used this on stainless but maybe a heat gun or a blow dryer would help break the adhesive under the wrap
i seen a video on facebook of a guy using a 3/8 steel rod 50+ inches long. He wrapped the edge of the protective coating around the rod the used a drill to turn the rod and peel it off. I’ll keep looking for video.
I use it with the film on. It peels off easily afterward. The plasma cutter doesn’t even notice it.
I have seen guys use the air hose, like James said. I have never tried it. It is very cantankerous.
Oh man I hated that stuff - the blue-colored peel just pulls away easily whenever I got stainless steel jobs.
WD 40 as you peel, or heat gun.
