So I just bought a used crossfire xr and how do you set up the perimeter of the table. It goes to far and sends error codes
Do you mean it’s crashing into the limit switches or Firecontrol is telling you that the program is outside the table limits?
Those are very different problems with different solutions.
I’m guessing it’s the “program outside table limits” issue that new users tend to have. This is due to the Langmuir tables having the “home” position in the upper left corner of the work coordinates. Most design programs default to using the lower left corner as the “origin” point. When you load a program with the origin at the lower left corner, that puts the lower left corner of the design at the upper left corner of the table. This results in the whole design being off the table.
There are two simple ways to fix this error.
- Jog the torch to another location on the table and hit “zero all axis” to zero the torch in that location. Then load your program and the origin will be placed at the torch zero.
- Load the program and click on “set program origin”. 5 Green boxes will appear on your screen. Choose the one in the upper left to make that corner the origin.
