On import of .DXF no "background" displays for "part"

I’m a noob here, and I’ll bet there is a simple answer to this, but after two hours looking on forums and training videos, no luck. Thanks for your patience.

I have imported a .DXF file into Fusion 360, and when the file imports, no

light colored background shows up, just the outline. To show what I mean, I’ve attached a file. The “state” is the problem… note the blue box I created has the blue background, but the state does not. The letters look normal to me, but not the state. What am I missing?

There is a open line in the outline of the state somewhere.

Agreed. I recommend zooming in closely to the outline of the state and following along the whole contour, checking for and filling in any gaps.

When you are using fusion to import files sketch checker is great to have it saves a lot of time.
You can download it here.

Do you need the full version of Fusion to get the Sketch Checker? I have the Hobbyist version!

No works with the personal version too.

Thanks to everyone for the responses. I’ll dig deeper into the sketch to find the open line. And also check on Sketch Checker. Thanks for the help and have a great day!
