I’ve been welding, torching, and generally fabricating by hand for 30 years at work and on my old Jeep. Just spent 12 hours putting together the crossfire pro with all the bells and whistles. I’m blown away by how easy it has been to cut 1/4 steel plate into a mount for a 5hp motor and air compressor pump with perfect accuracy. I’ve been playing with 3d printer and laser engravers for a while, so I found the software/design side pretty reasonable.
Currently using SketchUp pro (been using it for a couple years for the 3d printer) and a sheetcam trial.
Looking forward to continuing the CNC adventure!
