Hello Forum,
I have an interesting question for you all. What would happen if you use a non-compatible torch on a plasma cutter, lets just say a hypertherm. What would happen? I would love the knowledge.

Depending on the torch. You could NOT use any high frequency torch on a Hypertherm. If you know what your doing and can make adapters you can hook most blow back torch’s on it. Will it work, yes but it may not work as well as the torch designed for the plasma cutter.
I see it every day here on the forum people buy and install torch’s on their plasma cutters that are really not designed for it. Some times it works other times it don’t.
What do you mean by “non-compatible”?
A high frequency torch on a blow back machine?
I have a Hypertherm torch adapted to work on my Everlast 52i.
Yeah, what would happen in that instance?
Thank you for the information!
