I am using a Hypertherm Powermax 45, Inkscape, SheetCam, and FireControl with my Crossfire Pro. When I convert my files to Gcode I get a couple different error codes. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled all programs to no avail. The error codes I am getting are:
No Program Speed Found
Ensure you have the most up to date post processor for your machine.
I have updated my machine and ensured that I have the correct post processor installed, and in the right folder, for Sheet cam. When I look at my Gcode the last line states (PS25) so I know that the code has my speed.
We can cut straight lines, and general shapes, but when we try to upload an image to print we get nowhere. We have been struggling with this since we bought the machine new 5 years ago and are seeking help from anyone that might be able to guide us in the right direction. We tried to use Fusion 360, and decided that program was too much for what we are doing (only need 2D not 3D).
I am sure it is one of my settings somewhere…any suggestions are welcome
For 5 years you have had this same problem?
How are you cutting straight lines? are you just cutting them in fire control?
Where are the general shapes coming from? are you finding them online?
Yeah we have had this issue for years. Can’t seem to get images to print. However if we just run the fire control and enter it manually, the table works. We have had several friends and family members come and look at it generally over the years, but noone is skilled enough to dive deep into the issue to fix it.
Can you copy and paste the g code, so we can try to help you. I have a few videos on using Sheetcam, but it would help to see what is being output when you try to create the code.
At least take pictures of the tool that you are using in Sheetcam and a picture of the jet cutting operation screen with the settings that you are trying to use.
You really have us curious with the talk of printing, but also a phrase like “upload an image”. Sounds like maybe you are skipping some steps here. You must insert an image into a CAD sketch and then create a cut file from the finished sketch.
Try going to FIRESHARE and downloading something with a file that ends in “.nc”. This is a file ready to cut. The settings may not be exactly right for your setup, but at least you’ll be closer to knowing if this is a hardware or workflow problem.
Here is a simple wall bracket with an .nc file to download:
We open the previously designed project using Inkscape (CAD program). We then save it as an svg file.
We open this new svg file in SheetCam to program it for GCODE.
We then attempt to import/upload the file into FireControl and this is where the issue lies. We get one of the 2 error codes as mentioned in the main post.
When I get home from work this evening I will attempt a Fireshare file (the one you posted above seems like a simple place to start) and see how far we get with that one and let you know.
