Old Mach3/4 guy here (built many CNC and 3D printer machines), not happy with the direction the new owners are taking it. At any rate, I do a lot of programing (Arduino, esp32, rp2040’s) and saw some users on other forums noting this company using these kind of Microcontrollers. Plus they had a dedicated plasma PC based controller app. I currently design a lot of custom vehicle components for my own projects, and got tired of the ongoing cost/time waste in using places like send-cut-send. Since most of the stuff I make does not need “Laser” precision, I figured I would just do my own plasma stuff. I will be using a Lotos 6300DCNC, it has a compatible control interface. The kerf (using by hand on 3/16”) appears wide 2mm (0.07”) not sure if that is normal seams kind of wide. The tips available are only 0.9mm so, at some point might consider hacking a Hypertherm torch to be able to do “fine cuts”.
