Need help with machine, cuts are beveling

not sure what might be causing it but my cuts are getting beveled. new tip, new electrode, cord doesnt seem to be hanging up. and my THC movement doesnt seem to be binding up and its adjusted as tight i can without deflecting the guide rails. my torch height is also very far off, smart voltage is at 98V and it runs all over the place, in sheet cam i get my cut height to .06

What thickness and material are you cutting? 3/8 ?

How are the rest of your consumables? your swirl ring, deflector and retainer have air passages that can’t be obstructed.

You might need to check your backlash to see if that’s what height is actually happened. Maybe its starting too high and that’s where Smartvoltage is sensing.

Basically everything is still brand new. This is my first time changing consumables mainly because I accidentally crashed it. I’m trying to cut 1/4 plate. I’m not entirely sure how to adjust the backlash either.

if you cut a circle, does the bevel follow the circle? or is it beveled on one side and undercut on the other?

Try setting your cut height to .040". This will eliminate the .020" backlash compensation that the post processor adds to the code.
