I went to the metal distributor the other day and purchased a nice selection of metal (it got expensive). I didn’t want to just pile it on the floor and I didn’t want to be constantly dragging stuff across the shop so I built me a nice little sheet metal caddy. It’s made out of 14 gauge square tubing and put an expanded metal floor in it to handle smaller chunks. It seems to handle the load well and I like it a lot! Those sheets are 2x4’ which is a nice size to wrestle

Organization is key. Very clean looking. I’d add some pockets on the outside for smaller pieces! maybe even build another cart like that just for tubing. Nice job.

Very nice! I work at a metal fab company so I have scrap metal readily available. This is a great way to organize. Great for small shops or garages. I’m going to have to make one!

Nice! What are the dimensions of this cart?
Old thread. But he says the metal is 2x4’, so the cart is 2x4’ as well from the first picture.
Cheers!
