Moving projects around in firecontrol

Hey everyone I’m pretty new to all this amd inwas wondering after you upload your file into firecontrol, are you able to move it around in the area? Like is there a way to click on it and move it around? Thanks

@King6

You cannot click on it to move it around. You can change the program origin, rotate, and scale the program which essentially is moving it around. Other than that, how you would “move” it would be to jog the machine around and set a new program origin or work zero.

If you mean move where the file will cut on the sheet of metal, you set that by zeroing the X/Y axis where you want the origin point of your drawing to be.

The origin is generally in the lower left corner of a box around the furthest point of your design. (It can be in other locations, but most design programs place it in the lower left by default)

Jog your torch to the location where you want the lower left corner of your design to be and hit “zero all axis”. If you have limit switches, make sure you are zeroing the “work” and not the “home” coordinates. Zeroing the “work” axis’ tells Firecontrol that you want to cut your file in that location.
