I am assembling my Vulcan 16, and am at the stage of mounting the element. It seems I need some spacers (M5.5 x 51mm) but they don’t seem to be in my kit. Actually the hardware to mount the element was missing too, but I found alternatives to those.
Are there alternatives to the spacers that I can find somewhere like a big box store? Online, I am finding M5 and M6 spacers, not M5.5. I would rather keep building this thing than have to wait a week for a few pieces of hardware.
Email them they will overnight the parts.
Do you have any metal shops near you? I am sure they have hollow rods you can purchase and cut to length needed.
McMaster Carr has them. I believe that the bolts are 10-24 thread. Mine was the prototype, so some things have changed. If you call them, they will overnight them to you.
Just make sure of the ID. They have several choices.
Got it handled, I did email them and they took care of it for me. Took a few days, but should be able to move forward now.
