Mandatory Hydraulic Tank Initial Prep Instructions

Hi Everyone,

To minimize fluid leaks in the new Titan shipments coming out, we have been taping up the ports in the Titan’s Hydraulic Fluid Tank. Customers getting these taped up units will need to remove their tape and install their pressure relief/breather line and the bleeder lines.

Attached is a guide to properly install those soft lines.

Just thought I would add to this. With the screen in, it’s a tight fit to get those grommets in place. Plus there was oil on the top of the tank, which made it slippery. The first grommet I went to put in place ended up slipping right into the tank. Some choice words were said… After trying to skim it off the surface without any luck - I thought about the density of the rubber. Turns out it sinks, therefore it was pretty much right under where it dropped in. I bent a wire hook and was able to push it under the larger hole - then I hooked it and pulled it out. Victory. One of the Langmuir guys chimed in and said there were screens on the inlet tubes so it wouldn’t be a problem - but still - I’d rather have it out. Just thought this might help someone in the same predicament as me. Take care!

Good save! The rubber grommets falling into the tank are not a threat to the operation of the machine or at risk of plugging anything up but it is nice to get them out of there. We send 3 grommets in case one of them falls into the tank or into a crevice of the enclosure. We are working on an entire redesign of those ports that should get rid of the need for those grommets, as well as improve that plug which can also currently fairly easily slip into the tank.
