I bought a set of magnetic door locks thinking I would use them a lot I really don’t. I found out with the proper cut settings and a soak in vinegar they clean up very easy.
The power unit I bought is a 0 to 36 volt DC power supply off eBay that I bought to anodize titanium when I was make a few rings for Christmas a few years ago.
Most of my cuts clean up pretty easy, and the larger parts are easy to grind. I just use a knotted wire cup and it cleans up nicely. I think the magnets will really help me with smaller parts that tend to shoot of the table, or keep me working in close proximity to my digits.
My goal is to build a down draft grinding platform. If I go down that road, may as well add some magnets.
I know this is an old thread but I searched for ideas and I saw this thread came up here. Then I searched the web and saw this idea on you tube and bought one. It does work pretty good I built a box under the table and just slid it in. I can slide it out and put the shackle on it and lift sheets when I need to. I went with the 1320 Lbs one because my bench is 3/8th thick. It holds the pieces pretty good but I can still muscle them off even with it activated. As a duel use tool I would say for a $178.28 and no need for power I am happy
