Purchased and installed the new Z axis THC upgrade. I am using the Harbor Freight titanium 45 with an IPT60 machine torch (replaced the IPT60 hand torch) from plasmadyn. I wired up the 1 and 2 pins in the torch plug and also have it wired for RAW voltage using that black box. the wiring is good but still no torch fire. when i had the hand torch on it everything would work and run fine but i couldnt use the THC or z motor so i had them unplugged until the machine torch arrived. I have a bad feeling the little black box is bad. any one have these issues? i have been in contact with support but on here wondering if this has happened to anyone else. thanks!
I would lean toward the torch from Plasmadyn being wired incorrectly. They have a track record of wiring torch connectors wrong or not at all.

the funny part is i can run it just fine with that torch but i remove the VIM box from it all and run my RAW power straight to the “torch on/off” plug on the enclosure and i can run it perfectly fine but i cant use the THC.
Then that is not your raw power cable.
The torch on/off cable always goes directly to the electronics enclosure.
It never goes to the VIM box. Nothing in the VIM can fire the torch.
Raw power goes to the Red and Black ports on the face of the VIM.
The only other wire that goes to the VIM, when using raw voltage, is one from the PV output to the THC port on the electronics enclosure.
ok I think im getting the picture finally. the wires for the torch on off need to come from the two wires at the top of the machine where i have them now near that white plug. The raw power that goes to the VIM i should just go straight off the ring terminals from the ground clamp and from the torch plug inside the plasma?
That cable that you plugged into the torch on/off port should stay there, if the torch fires with it there.
The raw voltage wires should be connected with ring connectors to the back of the work clamp and torch connections inside the machine. Black to the torch side and Red to the clamp side.
Those get plugged into the color matched ports on the face of the VIM.
Then a wire goes from the PV out port on the VIM to the THC port on the electronics enclosure.
The other ports on the VIM are not used.

that was it. what you told me was the right way and everything is working like a dream! I did have to get the USB isolator but it came this morning and I’m rocking away on parts. THANK YOU!!!
