Can anyone tell me what’s going on?
I have the Crossfire and Mach3. I have been using it for almost about 8 months now. I just got a new laptop, and transferred everything over to it. I finally got it back up and running, but its not the same as it was. For one, it goes around curves super slow, and then speed back up for the straight cuts.
Can anyone help me figure out what’s wrong? Is it a motor tuning issue? I use Fusion 360, could it be set up incorrectly there?
As Erik said, it is probably a setting in “Feed Optimization.” In this example, my cut speed is set to 249 in/min. In the tool path, fourth tab “Passes” you will find Feed Optimization. I have my default set to 60% of my cut speed. You might have a default speed that is really slow and is not dependent on you cut speed.
If you click on the three blue dots, you will get a sub menu so you can change the default. No doubt in your other computer, there was a default that was set differently. It could have a set value or the 25% speed, which is one of the pre-set menu options.
I agree with the others, Mach3 does have a ‘feechur’ to add feed compensation, but it’s so well hidden that it doesn’t seem likely that you’ve enabled it by accident. Fusion, on the other hand, has so many different ways that will ‘help’ you…
