It appears to me that different control systems use different snippets in Sheetcam, So is there a list of what Fire control recognizes ?
The only thing Iâve seen people use snippets for is THC control and thatâs a bad idea with Firecontrol. Firecontrol handles turning the THC on and off when speeds drop below 85% of program speed.
Everything else can be accomplished with âpath rulesâ. I have path rules set up to slow down for holes, tight curves and sharp angles.

I am trying to set up a peck operation so looking for a pause. I didânt know if there were many snippets or only a fewâŚ
You can set a pause in your jet cutting tool. It isnât a pause that will stop the program until you tell it to resume, but you can set a length of time for pause after each cut. You can set it for a long enough time to let you pause the program and resume when you are ready.

you will need to set up a drill/centerpunch toolset and create a separate operation to do the âpeckingâ only.
So the first operation will do the pecks then the second one will start the cuts.

I just tried it with a pause code of m0 and simulator shows it works correctly so now I will make up a small test part and play with the amps to get my âPecksâ just rightâŚ

Pecks should be short bursts so âAmpsâ isnât all that important. 25A-45A the result is mildly different.
