Limit Switch screws too short?

I’m installing the limit switches on the gantry of my new Crossfire XR. The screws provided are barely long enough to get though the body of the limit switch so it’s tough for them to “grab” threads on the gantry chassis. I was able to get 2 of the limit switches installed but the 3rd switch “Y1” just is not going to grab. Wondering if I can just get a longer 2.5m socket head and also wondering why the fasteners isn’t longer in the 1st place. Seems like an issue that needs a modification upgrade from Langmuir?

They are too short, I ended up buying a kit of 2.5 mm screws from Amazon. And be careful when you use the short ones that aluminum will strip out really easy with only a couple threads holding on.

Great info, yea, I see they are super cheap on Amazon. Thanks for this!

I had a limit switch go bad and when I replaced it I ended up drilling a hole through the c channel frame at the table and installing the machine screws from the inside out. I’ll have to look back but I think they were 12 mmLong?

Hi, and thanks. So yes the bolts from Langmuir are 12mm but that only leaves a little bit sticking out to grab threads . I ordered so 14mm that came today. I think I have to leave some thread depth available on the out side to fasten a cable management saddle?
