It’s a mounting bracket for the computer.
Not referenced in the instruction manual and the computer mounts under the monitor without this part. I had the same question.
Looks like you have a new license plate holder for a trailer now???
I was thinking the same thing. Trailer license bracket. All kidding aside, Im sure langmuir will know.

Thanks everyone. Had me stumped. Went back and looked through instructions and still didn’t find anything!!
You don’t need it. I used it because I made a custom mount for mine and it cam in handy.
