Does anybody know how to solve this problem? These are two different designs I tried to make and both times it would cut about a half inch from where I wanted it to cut and it would also just turn green. I watched a tutorial on both and both of the people videos were correct.
It looks like there’s two things going on.
The first thing is that the simulation is broken since the September update where instead of applying the kerf width to the simulation it applies the nozzle clearance diameter.
The Blue line represents the centerline of the cut. Normally these cut correctly even if the simulation is not showing it correctly.
In the second picture there is Something wrong with your setup. It’s probably applying the material from a proceeding operation that smaller than your current operation.
If you post your f3d of this I can take a look.
Thank you for your help. will updating fusion 360 help?
An updates not going to help they haven’t corrected it yet. And besides that you’re hooked to the cloud and it’s forcing update all the time.
you would have to change your nozzle clearance diameter to the same as your curve width in your tool parameters for the simulation to run correctly.
I like to have my nozzle clearance diameter entered correctly because I think Fusion uses that data for tip up avoidance.
What is your Kerf width set too???
kerf is 1 i believe. we solved this by using a different computer. our current issue is that we cannot put the fusion 360 drawing into fire control. changing the dxf file into a .tap (gcode) is what were having trouble with.
