I want to make a post but I don’t want it to get all buggered up and go way off topic!
Anyone?

You could start by blocking me.
Me as well.
Shit, gotta count me out then
This is what I don’t want to happen:rofl:
The weather is nice today in Chattanooga. Finally.
No really. Just post it and Jimmy and myself will sit this one out…
It’s been hot here
Send help, need a hand putting my new setup together
You guys win🙄
6 days later, why doesn’t the guy just index his cuts and get it all done himself instead of paying someone else to do it
I think indexing is out of many peoples wheel house.
It’s like having a ZL1, putting 87 octane in it and never driving it farther than down the block.
Dude’s been here since 2021
This post is exactly why some posts need to locked. As far as I am concerned some post have good information but they get so many responses that don’t pertain to help that they’re both useless.
Here you’re talking about a different post entirely so this doesn’t even fit in
Myself and the many other posts here were of course to poke fun; I can’t speak for everyone really but none of the posts here were meant to be taken seriously.
I’m sure if you made the actual thread you are referring to (where you don’t want things to go off topic), others will respect that.
We’ve all interacted with each other long enough to know what is respectful, and what isn’t.
Thing is, this isn’t that thread.
I think I saw a post in the Lounge by @jamesdhatch where he said trust level 3(regular) users could create a wiki style post where multiple users could edit the same post… which is exactly opposite of what you are asking for. I dug around a little and didn’t see a way to do either what you are asking for or how to do the wiki style post. Hopefully James can chime in here. @TomWS do you know of a way to do what Knick is asking?
The leaders can lock a post/topic but that will lock it for everyone. Another leader can unlock it.
I’m 100% positive that if @Knick made a thread regarding a specific subject, that it can absolutely stick to that subject without issue.
I say this because I’ve never seen a negative interaction between him and any other member, so out of respect for him (and his new thread) it would be easy to refrain from deviating from the subject matter.
I saw this thread as a “hey, please don’t poke the bear” so we all naturally, poked the bear
But generally speaking, you can’t really keep a thread from going off-topic and the larger the forum, the larger chance it has to deviate. This forum being as small as it is however, would be super easy to manage and keep on track so I doubt there will be any real issue.
I speak from experience having been a moderator to two different forums (that are no longer around) as well as a vendor for another, and a member to many dating as far back as 2009.
It’s nearly impossible to keep from deviating, but if you asked once or twice as a reminder throughout the thread, I bet others will respect it.
When you start a topic, if you make the rules, point out the rules if someone strays off topic, I think you would have a fair shot of staying on topic.
Just don’t start a topic on what is the best air setup.
I just spit out my drink!!!
I just saw this, been traveling. No, but I’ll bet that @ChelanJim can add some codes to make it look really pretty!
