I use this torch shield/laser holder I made. I use it to line up the cut origin as well as run “Dry” and watch the crosshair. It will tell me where the cut will go. Easy cheesy.

Does this control splashing also? If so, could you share the design function? Not asking for a detailed drawing. Just the thinking behind the design and how has it worked for you. It looks like the water is diverted down the tube?
It controls some splashing by protecting the torch handle. I took the torch shield design off Fireshare and modified it for shape and to hold the lasers. Works good!
