Hypertherm Nozzle Specifications

I’m getting my machine put into Fusion and it is asking for nozzle diameter and kerf width. I’m running the Hypertherm 65 and a 30-45A nozzle. where do I find the info it is asking for?

Welcome to the Forum!

Nozzle diameter in Fusion is only for simulation purposes. You can set it at 1" and be fine. (It comes into play with other processes to avoid collision.)

As far as Kerf width goes, pages 3-23 thru 3-25 of the powermax 65/85 operator’s manual defines it. Kerf will change based on material thickness and the settings you choose. (Example - they state for 14ga .055" & for 1/4" .066")

Other than reading / using the optimal values, you can make a test cut (straight line) from FireControl and measure the width. Others have cut basic shapes and determined kerf from the actual size vs the drawn size.

Good luck!
