Does everyone use the voltages off of the charts on your Hypertherm 46xp? Just now getting mine dialed in, and thought they were coming out about right. Wondered what everyone’s observations are.
I haven’t needed to mess with the voltage. I just set the amperage and use THC. I have not had an issue that made me look at the actual voltage.
If you are talking about voltage with the tools in Fusion 360, that information does not flow over to FireControl.
No I was talking about setting the actual voltage in fire control. It helps with thin stuff that has a tendency to spring.
I do it with my 65… I very seldom use smart voltage hypertherm is spot on with voltage.
The good thing is it sounds like you are having better success than yesterday!
I used the book cut charts nominal voltage unless I have well worn consumables and then I’ll switch over to smart voltage
Thanks, I used book voltages all day today. I was able to get my fine cuts going, and cut some thicker stuff as well. Since getting the cutter I have ran 14 ga, 3/16, and 1/4”. Things are going great. The only thing left is getting my refrigerated drier off of back order. My motor guard is using up the element pretty quick I think. I will try to post some pictures in the morning.
