I have a hypertherm 65 without cpc port that I manually spliced into the wires inside to fire the hand torch. Everything working fine for over a year. I now bought a machine torch. Can I just switch out torches without changing any wiring?
I searched the forums but could not find a definite answer. thanks
There may be a way to fire the machine torch without the cpc but its not going to fire the way you have it wired now.
Get hypertherm part # 228697 for the cpc port upgrade.
After getting the cpc upgrade you can either change all your wiring for torch on/off and divided arc or just use it for torch on/off and continue using the raw arc voltage for your thc.
