Hot Roll vs Cold rolled

Any one have experiences with cuts on Hot Rolled plate vs cold rolled plate and plasma cutting . I’m interested if so .

No matter hot or cold rolled always clean a spot for the work/ground clamp on the sheet. Do not clamp on the table or slats.

Mechanic416 is so right on that…I want to find the video or pictures of when someone posted…not here…of what happened to someone who clamped to the slats…
the slats are not always good contact with the metal due to deposits and buildup…when they clamped to the slat it created arcing between the slats and the metal…the arcing started to pit and eat away at the metal in several places.

Aluminum and Stainless are the worst for the arcing between the slats and metal if you have the work/ground clamp on the table or slats.
