Homemade mild steel punch/dies

These are working out better than expected. I didn’t want to cut up my good dies for a temp prototype job, especially since LS dies are limited supply for the next few months.
I made a longer leg on one end to incorporate a back guage in the die itself for speed running these parts. I still need to cut the back guage stop plate and drill/tap the holes.
The test part is 1/8" mild steel and is a very tight radius with a .750 die opening. If this prototype works out, the real parts will be 1/8" 304SS and I’ll probably cut real dies up since there will be a bunch of these to make, but for now, free disposable dies are working well.
