Help opening Sheetcam with a Macbook air

I just bought Sheetcam and downloaded it to my Macbook air.

The problem is that I get a an error saying that it will not open.

Is there anyone using an Apple that has any suggestion please.

Where did you find a MacOS version? Thought Sheetcam is Windows and Linux only.

John, after a long day of getting my ass kicked trying to use Con Fusion CAM, out of desperation
I bought SheetCam, not realizing that it was only Windows (or Linux I guess)

Now that I am paying closer attention, I see that it is NOT Apple compatible.

Do I have any options, other than buying a Windows laptop?

I have been a Mac user for 25 years but bought a used Dell laptop years back for about $300 from Newegg to run my Crossfire. I’ve never run Parallels or Basecamp so have no idea about running Windows on Mac.

I would recommend one with at least 1024 vertical resolution. You can run FireControl on 768V, but you it won’t run some other useful CNC tools (such as Lightburn) very well.

I run sheetcam on my Mac. I used boot camp at first and ran windows, but I needed to reboot all the time to get into it.

Now I pay for parallels, and can run both side by side. It adds a yearly fee for parallels, but it’s very smooth.

I also have a unique setup in my garage. I run a little hdmi stick pc plugged into a 40 inch tv to run the table and I’m pretty sure it would run sheetcam. I may need to switch my license over and save myself some money on parallels now.

Only problem is I wouldn’t be able to check my drawings in sheetcam as fast.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

I decided to take the “path of least resistance” and just get a 'cheap laptop" from the Big A.

From everything I can tell this one should work fine.
