how are you controling the fire for the laser
I would expect that he uses the on/off signal, the same one that is used for the cnc torch…it is just an off/on signal.
The only difference is that a Laser can, and is expected to, respond to a much faster signal. If all you want is the coarse vectors you can cut with a plasma, fine, no problem. If you’re expecting some higher resolution, you’re not going to get anything close to what you want from a relay trigger…
how is he sending the independent power to the laser itself
I would the same way the power is sent to the torch…on it’s own cable…
