Has anybody put keyways in the motor coupler's?

Be easier to grind flats on the leadscrew…

I want to keep the even clamping of the existing coupler, I guess I could add a setscrew at 90 degrees to the slot and mill a flat on the motor/ leadscrew

Isn’t the existing coupler a flex type? If not, you could replace it with one. The motor already has a flat. I thought my couplers had two set screws but I have so many CNC gadgets that I could be confusing it with another piece of equipment. In any case, my typical ‘solution’ is a flat on the leadscrew and the only time I ever had slippage is when I needed loctite in addition to the flat.
