Hi all, first post on the forum.
We got our machine this week and finally had our first bend yesterday.
Machine looks solid and well packed. No shipping damage whatsoever.
However we had encountered some issues, especially with missing or wrong parts of backgauge assembly and issues with QC checks.
Here are some photos below.
We do also manufacture additive manufacturing equipment and as a feedback, I highly suggest to ship Titan T25 fully assembled. Backgauge assembly has either wrong or missing parts shipped. We also mistakenly broke the X-Axis leadscrew during assembly because of over torqued one of the nuts.
Also, we had issues with the software itself not starting up due to low quality SD card. As a first thing to do I highly recommend to switch over a good SD card either from Samsung or SanDisk. Once we re etched a new SD card machine works flawlessly.
Good thing is, support is responsive and already shipped replacement parts. Once we got the backgauge up and running, I will provide more feedback from here.
In addition to that, here are some additional suggestions.
There needs to be a proper shutdown procedure required due to how Linux operating system works. Shutting down the machine without shutting down the onboard computer first might cause SD card corruption issues. So there should be an button on the interface to shutdown the onboard computer first before killing the main power.
Second, there should be an option to change units from imperial to metric. We exclusively work in metric system and we are looking forward to see millimeter unit on user interface. I already had a chance to check the JAR firmware update file and underlaying code work seems to be done already. It probably needs the firmware implementation on atmel processors itself and UI implementation work.
Another suggestion would be instead of using screws to secure the punches in place, I recommend quick levers instead. Those screws are tend to strip during repeated usage. I am going to order the following levers below
I will keep you posted if I encounter any issues with the machine.
