I’m not sure what happened, i put the unit together and everything was good. Cut about dozen parts playing around with it. Moved it to more permanent location set up everything ava it’s cutting ovals instead of circles any ideas on how to address this?
Do you have any pictures of the cuts?
I do not. I’ll take some art lunch. Thanks
Ok, make sure that the motor coupler set screws are tight. That is the typical cause of oval cutting.
Are the coupler set screws tight?
Yes. I took it out when i took that picture. Could the consumable be bad?
So that second picture looks like motion is starting before the torch has pierced all the way through the material. Can you increase the pierce delay and recut those holes?
The first picture looks like it could be a worn nozzle. I would replace the nozzle and see how it improves.
Hello,
Im new to Crossfire, although it has been awesome putting this together. i am having a small issue with the gantry when attempting to align. Once i release of place the shim under the torch holder to align i notice the tube drops about 1/16 of an inch causing alignment to be off. any suggestions?
watch this video… it helped me when i had the same problem.
Thank you NicaDd. I will go over this as soon as possible. Highly appreciate it
