I too am waiting for the final decision on the cost of fully assembled. I was about to pull the trigger in Dec '22 but life came up and the money went elsewhere. I little disappointed that the $$ may double for that service, but I get it. It is a very involved process.
Almost puts it out of range for me (including the other bits and pieces with the purchase).
Glad to hear this is moving and hopefully going well finally. Is there anyway to find out where Im at in line? Not sure I will be in these first 10. Even with my first minute of pre-ordered registration it felt like I somehow got beat by a lot of quick people.
Those pallets are actually huge lol. I wish there was a way to take them off the pallet without a forklift for really small garage shops that donāt have a lot of heavy equipment moving tools.
you could build a wood structure from 4x4 pretty easily and use 2 cable or chain winches. wouldnt be moveable unless you made it stiff and added wheels but very doable.
Looking good! I like that strap set up to hold them down also.
How are the gantry and spindle tied down for shipment? I donāt imagine youāll be letting the ball screws take the shocks of traveling in a box truck or trailer.
Edit: Iām also asking for ideas if I need to transport my machine in a year or two. I have some things in mind, but am curious what you guys have put together.
@langmuir-daniel do you guys have a STEP or drawing of the threaded block where the levelling feet are screwed into?
I would love to make a new one with a heavy duty levelling caster wheel in preparation for the machine arrivalā¦then I can find a way to use some 2x4s to jack the machine up, remove the pallet, change the feet out and wheel it around the shop where I need it.
Finally got my shipping for the fully assembled. Anyone get theirs yet? Looks like mine is due next Wednesday. Cant wait. Need to start looking at how to get the SW gcode to the mill now I guess so I can run some parts!
