Can you provide some information on your system? Are you running Windows 10? What graphics hardware/drivers are you running? Are you running with your Display scaled?
I am running Windows 10 latest version. Itās on an Asus Tuf Gaming A15 laptop with a Ryzen 7 4800H and Nvidia RTX 2060 graphics. The computer performs very well with Fusion 360 and Fire Control. The display is not scaled. It is a 1920x1080 high refresh rate panel. 15.6" screen.

Will there be any sort of provision for a kill switch to work with a magnetic torch breakaway?
Basically the same function as when a torch misfires or you forget to turn the plasma on.
Iād like to put a magnetic breakaway on my pro table, however since it will likely have an interaction during a rapid to knock the torch off, Iād like to have it stop the machine as soon as the breakaway splits.
Is there a way to program into the THCās IHS switch wiring and if that circuit is interrupted during a rapid or a cut, that would cause the machine to stop and be able to restart at the last loop. I would assume itās a simple thing to program in, being that the wiring and switch is already there and one could simply tap into one or both of those wires.
I added a ākill switchā button mine that turns off the torch when pressedā¦ I have a magnetic breakaway and it has detached a couple of times with the torch still onā¦ hit the button and itās off. Iām sure you can Incorporate the wiring into the breakaway instead of using the button to cut the torch off instantly.
The torch on/off wiring inside the control box uses spade connectors so I just ran a loop on one end.
Also works great for changing consumables on the fly and you want to make sure your torch wonāt fire.

Out of curiosity, I am very excited for the Limit Switches, I assume this will be done through the expansion port. Is there anyway for some of us who are more electrically/tinker inclined to start that process? I have tons of switches around and would love to be a Guinea pig for this setup.

Now thatās got me thinking, wonder if it would make sense to tie the magnetic breakaway switch wiring into the torch fire wires. That way when the breakaway trips, it will kill the arc-on signal to the plasma, which will obviously show no arc voltage and stop the program, while still allowing the program to start over at the beginning of the last loop.
I more-so want the mag breakaway so if the torch bumps something, it wonāt mess up the machineās coordinates in the cut program.

No. If your machine runs on Mach3, you would need to switch to the newer electronics control box to run Firecontrol.
Just loaded 21.1 beta on a windows 11 laptop. Not hooked up to table controller. It loads and gets to main screen ok. Got an error when it prompted to create a High Priority shortcut - sent in stack trace via email. IllegalArgumentException: Folder parameter must be a valid folder. Prob a pathing issue due to some things changing in Win11ā¦just as infoā¦

Having limiting switches, a magnetic breakaway, and a kill switch is essential for safe operation. and I donāt know why LS is still late on implementing those features and sell the necessary parts.

Iāve cut a butt load without and no mishaps. So probably not āessential for safetyā I bought one of Goheenās breakaways as insurance against tipups but, like my life insurance, havenāt needed it yet. I have been begging for limit switches for the convenience ( well, and cool factor) for months. I probably could have got all that up front with a Starlab, but not at this price point. What can I say, when you start at entry level to find out if you like plasma cutting, ( I do), you accept less than ābleeding edgeā. ( Damn glad I did)

Just installed the new MSI and it hangs at the splash screen on startup for me unfortunately.
We are looking into this.

Been using it all week with CrossFire Pro. Cut out several complicated parts and it worked perfectly.
