Yes… I’m in the middle of the first batch. I haven’t received any shipping notification as of yet but it would be nice to see the user guide for the ā€œFire Controlā€ software to get familiar with it. Daniel with Langmuir said back in November the software user guide would be posted along with new videos in January. Well it’s about the end of January and nothing is being posted.

Our web development team is pushing to have the manuals posted on Monday evening. The Fusion 360 update videos are also done and on YouTube, just haven’t been made public and added to the site yet.

I think between the assembly manual, THC manual, and Fire Control manual there is about 150 pages total. Definitely some great bed time reading while you wait for your Pro!

That’s great news. Looking forward to learning the new system. The interface for Fire Control looks awesome.
I got to say, the support from you guys is some of the best in the business. I bought the Crossfire about a year ago. Then got another one for the art department at the University I work at. Now looking forward to the pro version. The one for the University came in with a damaged gantry tube from shipping and you guys sent out a new one the same day I contacted you about it. Keep up the good work and a big Thank You!!!

Personally I think Langmuir screwed up making all the pro stuff a ā€œmembers onlyā€ club… They should be giving me (us) access to every bit of information that you can to sway my(our) opinion to buy one or not… Having pro only forums is kinda dicky…

The reason the PRO forum is private is because it is the primary way that we post updates and news about the machine to customers that are in batch 1 and 2. It allows us to have candid conversation and evaluate feedback from people that are actually invested in it. The PRO forum will not be private forever, but we felt that cutting out a lot of the noise so to speak would something that our PRO backers would appreciate.

I get that, but had it not been for Facebook forums I would have never heard about Firecontrol… Which I’m very interested in seeing… I’m not interested in the when this ships, pulling this ahead, pushing this back, etc… But the technology part, can’t wait, and it would really suck if thats the thing that put me over the edge and I didn’t get into batch 2 because I didn’t have access to it… I love my Crossfire table, and all the mods I’ve done to it to make it into an even better machine. Hell I made enough this week to buy a pro! Guess I’ll wait…

I understand the reason for the hold on making everything "public’ at this point but, I’m VERY curious too!! Can’t wait to learn/see more… My $.02

There is a vast amount of in depth information about the entire system (FireControl, THC, the machine itself) that will be posted very soon in the forum of user manual(s). Looking forward to hearing all of your thoughts.

I’m in batch 2 of the pro group, where do I gain access to this other group. How do I get the pro badge behind my screen name?

Send an email to Support. They’ll set you up. They must have missed updating your forum access when you ordered.

How/where can I access this forum? I too am on the batch 2 waiting list and wanting to hear what others are saying.

Well…It doesn’t appear that anything has posted. Sure would be nice to see these manuals before the table shows up.

Daniel…At this point I think an explanation is in order. We were shown a video 3 months ago of Fire control cutting out a dash panel. I just saw on the web site that you have added the download links but everything says coming soon. Over a week ago I asked when the User Manuals would post and you said it might post Monday evening the 27th. That didn’t happen and they are still not posted. What gives here. Also 2 box’s of my order was supposed to ship yesterday. That didn’t happen either. When you say things will happen at a certain time people expect it to happen or at least explain to us why it didn’t. When you say nothing, people start to loose faith in your abilities.

You may want to check the Main page again… Everything is there. Click on the NEW ā€œSupportā€ tab.

Thanks… it is in fact there. It wasn’t about 10 minutes ago when I was writing that.

Daniel my apologies…I should have waited a few more minutes to post that.

Read the entire article re: fire control and thc and getting the bug to upgrade from xl. Love the machine but I like the new interface and the thc is definitely in my future. Problem is space. Would have to give up one parking spot to accommodate the 4’ table. I don’t do much over the 23x33 and have indexed 1 part 60x23 (firewall of truck) that worked great so I won’t be getting the pro but looking forward to when firecontrol is available to us crossfire owners.

I second this opinion, looking at the user guide I like its simplicity and features.

I like the Straight Cut Mode but wonder at this statement: " Before running your straight cut program, you must click the ā€˜Zero All Axes’ button first." ISTM that this mode could simply use the current DRO values as the starting point rather than forcing the user to reset their coordinates.
[I also wonder if FireControl will have the ability to set hot keys for main operations like jog, jog speed control, zeroing axis, etc. I’m currently using a USB game controller with Joy2Key to provide a control dongle for my Mach3 system. It would be nice if this feature is available with FireControl.] Whoops, looks like you have covered most of this as I now see in the Jogging Keyboard Shortcuts section :flushed:
Of course, my comments are probably why you didn’t want to go ā€˜public’ right away
