Fire control graphics issue on ASUS computer - Solved - ADM Radeon display adapter was disabled

I have been running Fire Control 24.1 on a fairly new ASUS Gaming notebook with no issues. I cut with it last Saturday and when I tried to cut Tuesday it said my graphics weren’t good enough (or something to that effect) and I should run a compatibility version. A message to tech support promptly got me a link to the latest compatibility software, but installing it made no difference. I went back thru to see if an update to the drivers or Windows had happened between Saturday and Tuesday, but there was nothing in that time frame. I have updated the graphics driver and Windows but with no luck so far. Any Ideas?

Post a screenshot of your device manager details of your graphics card and GPU, RAM…

Something odd is happening since lots of us are running Fusion 360 AND Fire Control at the same time on a little $160 mini PC brick off Amazon.

That being said, I also have a 2023 Asus Srtix G18, and I have been less than happy with the support of Asus on drivers and Bios twitching. The GPU, Graphics and Ram has been great however for using a middle to high end 3D scanner. 12gb file size after scan.

One of those things that frustrates the daylights out of me. Has been working great since I bought the Notebook in December.

That Nvidia RTX 4060 should run almost anything. Have you tried an Nvidia update yet? Try running the performance tab in Microsoft Task Manager.

I don’t know what this is actually supposed to look like, but it seems odd to me that there aren’t many resources being used in the GPU.

It looks like it’s not even running. It may have failed, and the computer is trying to run video files on the AMD chip. Also your hard drive has 0% output. It does look like a hardware issue to me.

I found at least one of the problems. The ADM Radeon display adapter wasn’t enabled. I turned it on and the error went away. Now to figure out why or how it got turned off in the first place. Thanks All for the input!

Good deal. Windows update, probably. I hate them. It’s like Russian Roulette every time it updates. You grit your teeth; hopefully, you don’t get the Blue Screen of Death.

Sorry for the profane reference but it felt appropriate.
