My shop does not have Wi-Fi, so I can’t download Firecontrol on my XR. I tried downloading it in my house to a thumb drive and took it out and installed it on the computer on the XR. When I opened Firecontrol, I got a message that it was not compatible with that computer and that I need to download the compatibility version. Where can I find the compatibility version? Am I out of luck because I don’t have Wi-Fi? I need advice!
The setup instructions say to download and install the display drivers on the PC, so that is probably why you are getting the message about the compatibility version. The display adapter is not compatible without the drivers.
If you don’t have wifi in the shop, you should be able to remove the computer from the machine and take it in the house for setup. I know that isn’t convenient, but it may be your only option if you can’t get internet in the shop.
